The Barcelona Forum, also known as Park del Forum, is one of the newest and more modern areas in Barcelona. Along with the Olympic Port, it's the most recent undertakings taking place in Barcelona.
Nowadays, this complex is a modern and quiet quarter featuring marinas, shopping areas and parks with easy access to the seafront. It's definitely one of the best places to stay in Barcelona. (See our hotel recommendations below).
Parc del Forum: A new area for Barcelona

Back in 2004, the area hosted the Barcelona Forum of Cultures, an international event advocating for causes such as peace, human rights and sustainable projects.
As a major international event, the Forum of Cultures project called for an ambitious layout of new infrastructures that would revamp the all the area between the Besós river and Sant Adriá del Besós.
Currently, the space is mainly used for massive music events during the year like the Primavera Sound Festival and La Mercé, Barcelona's biggest holiday.
What to see in the Barcelona Forum
The Parc del Forum occupies an area of 30 hectares and it features a very mixed group of spaces.
Photovoltaic Plate

The impressive structure of the Photovoltaic Plate stands out like a gigantic sculpture. It's a nice place to catch the view of the surroundings and the Barcelona coastline.
Blue Museum

The Blue Museum is an interesting visit if you travel to Barcelona with kids. This giant, tringle shaped building, clad in blue hosts the Barcelona Natural Science Museum.
The Forum Beach

The Forum area is generous with urban parks and squares. In fact, it holds the record for being the second largest square in the world. You can also visit the only sandless beach in Barcelona, called the Forum Beach (Banys Fòrum).
Barcelona Bosc Urbá (Urban jungle)

This adventure playground features a variety of activities to put your adrenaline to the test. A great activity to do with kids in Barcelona.
All participants will have to engage in more than 50 different challenges like zip lines, rope swings and bungee jumping, to name a few.
Port Forum

The Port Forum is probably the bussiest area in the whole complex. It features a mix of nautical and sports related stores, as well as a marina.
